About 40 boys from the School, Pre Mini and Mini categories (from 5 to 12 years old) of the Basketball School dependent on the Sports Department of the municipality of Trenque Lauquen, accompanied by teachers Nicolás Romero Lamaisón and Pablo Mina, traveled the last Saturday to the city of America, where they played against the Club Atlético and CEF No. 45 teams from the Rivadavia district.
“We returned their visit because they had come about a month ago, only those from the Athletic Club because the CEF could not come,” Nicolás Romero Lamaisón commented this morning (Monday), who recalled that in Trenque Lauquen the matches were played in two venues to avoid crowds: at the Argentine Football Club and at the Municipal Sports Center.
“In America we play all the games at the Municipal Sports Center because it is larger than the space we have here and there were several simultaneous courts, so we stayed all morning until 1,” said Romero Lamaisón, adding that “seven were played / Eight quarters with Club Atlético of five minutes each and almost all of them played and six quarters with CEF nº 45 all in a row ”.
He also commented that “there was also Professor Pablo Mina with the category of School and Pre Mini in simultaneous courts, on the other side of the court, where they were continuously playing all morning.”
Regarding the work carried out in Basketball in Trenque Lauquen, the teacher commented that “with the issue of the pandemic the possibility of working with two teachers arose, before Pablo was alone, and then I joined, and we set up two groups to avoid the agglomeration of people ”.
In this sense, he reported that classes are held at the Municipal Sports Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m., in two groups.
