The annus horribilis of the Blues in Grand Slam

STORY – No French qualified for the round of 16 in 2021. French tennis signs its worst record in 131 years.

In 1890, Charles de Gaulle was born. 1890 is also the year when for the last time no French representative (men and women alike) had reached the 8it is of finals of a Grand Slam (only the US Open and Wimbledon existed at that time, Editor’s note). 131 years later, the France of tennis has achieved the “feat” of achieving such a pitiful performance.
