Successes and growth for the Varese archers in the weekend of competitions between Massa, Castiglione and Settimo Torinese

Despite the rain and the storm that broke out over much of northern Italy this weekend, they didn’t stop outdoor archery competitions foreseen because after the year and a half of the pandemic the desire to go back to shooting in front of the straws, to breathe the scent of the grass and feel the vibrating of the arrows in the air is too strong for all the archers who live on these emotions.
Between Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 then several competitions were staged that highlighted the archery of some Varese clubs, which continue to confirm themselves as excellences of the discipline and creators of great talents.

Starting from the Italian Naked Arch Cup in Massa, three representatives of the local companies took the field, that is Alessio Rudoni of the CAM Gallarate archers in the Senior Male category, Isabella Salmoirago and Luca Milani of the Archers Tre Torri of Cardano al Campo, respectively in the Female Master and in the Male Boys.
After the first day of competition, Rudoni and Salmoirago, despite the latter being first after the first shooting distance, both came out at the second, while Milani went on, reaching the finals on Sunday where, however, he managed to finish only fourth one step away from the podium.

To Interregional, Regional Championship Campaign of Castiglione Olona, the Tre Torri Archers make up for it with a handout of medals, with the double silver by Elisabetta Rovelli in the Senior Women’s Olympic Arch and in the Absolute Women’s Olympic Arch. With her, take home an important silver also David Mark Baron in the Men’s Olympic Master Arch.
Always remaining on the subject of Varese society, thegold won by Laura Bianchi degli Arcieri Varese in the Olympic Women’s Master Arch. It was a very special race, as only those who started shooting on Saturday managed to complete the competition, while Sunday’s shooting sessions were canceled due to bad weather.

Complete the picture, theInterregionale 70 / 60mt Round – 50mt Round of Settimo Torinese, where the youngest athletes of the Tre Torri Archers engaged in the competition have won several medals. In Individuals David Mark Baron repeats the excellent performance of Saturday in Castiglione e bring home another silver in the Olympic Men’s Master Arch, Gaia Micalizzi and Elena Cavalieri, respectively win the second and third place in the Olympic Boys Girls’ Bow while Samuel Barigozzi conquers theoro in the Men’s Youth Olympic Arch.
As for the team competition, however, a great triumph for the trio Micalizzi, Erika Cavalieri Baron, that triumphs in the Women’s Boys’ Olympic Arch.

The medals won by the Archers of Roccolo of Legnano, with Alessandra Savio, An “old Cardanese acquaintance” who wins the medaloro in the Junior Women’s Olympic Arch, as well as Eleonora Grilli that triumphs in the Compound Senior Women’s Bow.
