Seogwipo City Office of Education to hold a non-face-to-face school sports club festival in 2021: Gyeonggi Internet Newspaper

[경기인터넷신문=이은미 기자] The Seogwipo City Office of Education will hold the ‘2021 Non-face-to-face School Sports Club Festival’ for elementary and middle school students in the district from September 14 to October 8.

This event will be held as a non-face-to-face sports method using online to strengthen participation in sports activities in a social crisis situation such as the spread of the COVID-19 infectious disease. Individual and group events in 14 sports, including table tennis, physical fitness, folk sports, sports stacking, juggling, and expression (other than cheerleading), will be run with 35 detailed events.

Students participate by taking a video of their own practice and achievements and uploading them to a designated platform (app), and the submitted video is judged in the form of a sports challenge that is certified if it passes certain criteria (number of times, time) for each event. .

An official from the Seogwipo City Office of Education said, “We expect this school sports club festival to be an opportunity to promote physical activity of students who have been contracted by COVID-19 and provide a place for communication and exchange between students through sports.”
