In the second training, the parc fermé regime was already in place. The teams focused more on getting to know the tires, which will be important for tomorrow’s strategy, but it can also be important for choosing tires for the afternoon sprint.
The most active were the Haas riders in the beginning. Gradually, more were added.
Just before half of the training, red flags were flown in Monza. Carlos Sainz lost control of his car and crashed hard in the Ascari corner. The Spaniard is fine, although he still has more checks to do. The car was damaged in the front.
Hamilton set the fastest time in training ahead of Bottas and Verstappen. The Srint qualification starts at 16:30
