Richard Sherman Joins Super Bowl Champions

Defensive back Richard Sherman decided to join forces with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday.

ESPN said it would be a one-season deal, but financial details were not disclosed.

Become a free agent at the end of the 2020 season, the 33-year-old athlete still had not found a buyer. By joining the Florida squad, he offers himself a chance to help them defend their Super Bowl title. Sherman himself was able to lift the Vince-Lombardi Trophy, with the Seattle Seahawks, in 2013, when they defeated the Denver Broncos. The following year, the Seahawks had the chance to defend the title, but were unable to do so, instead falling behind the New England Patriots, who had Brady in their ranks.

“I accepted the best offer I had on the table, the best opportunity I had to show off, to lead a group,” Sherman told ESPN. I am confident in my skills to play games and help the team win.

«[Brady] is the best quarterback ever and he called me, he added. Every time he calls you it’s hard to miss the opportunity. ”

Named five times to the Pro Bowl and elected four times to the NFL’s first all-star team since the start of his career, Sherman will be of great help to the “Bucs” defense. In addition to being the one who has allowed the most passing yards since the start of the season (1015), the latter lost the services of defensive back Sean Murphy-Bunting in the first game of the season, he who has suffered from a dislocation of an elbow. In the third week of operations, Jamel Dean, another defensive back, left the game against the Los Angeles Rams in the first quarter and never returned to play afterwards.
