WITHThe superstar had recently missed two games in the French league, but the royal transfer returned in the premier class. As at the start of the Champions League, Lionel Messi swirled in the top game against Manchester City together with the Brazilian Neymar and the French world champion Kylian Mbappé in the attack of Paris St. Germain. But unlike the 1-1 draw against Club Bruges, the 34-year-old also scored in the goal.

“He’s ready to play a big game,” coach Mauricio Pochettino had previously hopefully oracle and ultimately proved right. Messi’s first goal secured victory for the Parisians. In the end it was 2-0 (1-0) against the English champions.
