PSG and Real Madrid win dramatically just before the end

Mith their sixth win in their sixth game, Paris Saint-Germain kept their perfect record in the new season of the French Football League. The star ensemble won 2-1 (0-0) at home against Olympique Lyon with German ex-world champion Jérôme Boateng on Sunday with a late goal. Mauro Icardi only made the success perfect in the third minute of stoppage time. Previously, Neymar equalized with a penalty (66th) after the guests had taken the lead through Lucas Paqueta (53rd).

Lyons coach Peter Bosz, who once worked in Leverkusen, had called Boateng in the starting line-up, as he did in the Europa League against Glasgow Rangers. In the defense center, the 33-year-old had to deal with PSG stars Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Neymar again and again. When Messi’s free kick to the crossbar (37th), the long-time Munich was just a powerless spectator. For Lyon, ex-Bundesliga professional Xherdan Shaqiri had a great chance to take the lead (19th).

The Brazilian Paqueta, who overcame Italy’s European Champion Gianluigi Donnarumma with a direct shot into the near corner, did better. Neymar equalized with a penalty kick, immediately before it was over for Boateng, who had also played a good hour recently. The final offensive gave PSG their sixth victory when Icardi headed to the spot.

Benzema & Co. kidnap three points from Valencia

A late double strike gave Real Madrid victory in the top game of the Spanish soccer league. The record champions won 2-1 (0-0) at Valencia CF on Sunday, leading the Primera División with 13 points. An unsustainable deflected shot by Vinicius Junior in the 86th minute and Karim Benzema’s shoulder three minutes later ensured the lucky success. For Valencia, which is still third with ten points, Hugo Duro’s lead (66th) was not enough.
