Primoz Roglic just before the hat trick at the Vuelta

Dhe Danish professional cyclist Magnus Cort Nielsen clinched his third stage win on the 76th Tour of Spain. The 28-year-old prevailed on Friday on the 19th stage after 191.2 kilometers from Tapia to Monforte de Lemos in the sprint of a breakaway group ahead of Rui Oliveira from Portugal and the American Quinn Simmons. The best German was Alexander Krieger from Stuttgart in tenth place.

The slightly hilly part of the day with three mountain ratings had no impact on the overall ranking. Top favorite Primoz Roglic is 2:30 minutes ahead of Spaniard Enric Mas and can hope for his third Vuelta victory in a row.

The final mountain stage awaits the professional cyclists on Saturday: The 202.2 kilometer route from Sanxenxo to the mountain arrival in Alto Castro de Herville. The third major national tour of the year after the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France ends on Sunday with an individual time trial in Santiago de Compostela.
