Premier League – With a brace from Lukaku, Chelsea beats Aston Villa (3-0)

It is not known if Romelu Lukaku likes the sea or the mountains. However, it is certain that he loves the city of London and that above all, he loves the goal! As part of the 4th day of the Premier League, Chelsea won at home, against Aston Villa (3-0). While Thomas Tuchel’s men suffered throughout the first act despite a goal from Lukaku, the entry on the lawn of their game regulator at the break, the Italian Jorginho changed everything. The Belgian striker for his part scored a brace, his first two goals in the legendary lair of Stamford Bridge.

Villa dominated the first half

The entry of the Italian game architect got his team back on track, once again well helped by Tuanzebe and his colleague Tyrone Mings: a hazardous pass from the first caused the England international defender to lose his control. This allowed Mateo Kovačić to get ahead of Jed Steer to score his team’s second goal shortly after the return from the locker room (2-0, 49th).

At the end of a second act totally mastered by the reigning European champions, Lukaku, ideally served by Azpilicueta, offered himself a double with a superb strike in the skylight in added time (3-0, 90th + 3). Romelu Lukaku scored his first two goals on the lawn at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea reclaim second place in the Premier League ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Leeds tomorrow: Thomas Tuchel and his men can approach their return to the European scene in spirit calm.
