The Carmignano di Brenta tensile structure will host the “Open doors to Paralympic sport” event promoted by the Italian Paralympic Committee (CIP) of the Veneto Region. An initiative that aims to spread the Paralympic idea and the maximum introduction to the sport of disabled people.
“Five days in which ten guests of the Diurnal Center Clay pots of Carmignano di Brenta, with the help of CONI technicians, will be able to experiment with the various Paralympic disciplines – explains the president of CIP Veneto Ruggero Vilnai – At their side as many able-bodied children who will assume the role of tutor: supporting disabled children In this way it will be possible to guarantee a personalized intervention and at the same time create a group / team context aimed at the inclusion of all, with the object of attention not someone’s deficit, but the success of the group”.
The activities will take place from 13.30 to 15.30 from Monday 13 to Friday 17 and will include various disciplines: table football and darts, bowls, badminton, table tennis, archery.
«We immediately gave the availability of our structure – comments the municipal administration of Carmignano di Brenta – designed to respond to all safety and inclusiveness regulations. Participants, who will be required to respect the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, will find a welcoming space to practice these disciplines and we are sure that the experience will also be significant for the young tutors, who will learn to overcome stereotypes and prejudices, confronting themselves in a concrete way with the concept of diversity and pruning it in their school environment and among their friends ».
