World No.5 Andrey Rublev has revealed he’s trying to let Stefanos Tsitsipas lead on the pitch as their doubles clash at the Laver Cup begins. Rublev and Tsitsipas, representing the European team, dominated the world team John Isner and Nick Kyrgios 6-7 (8), 6-3, 10-4.
Rublev and Tsitsipas were playing together for the first time and managed to return to Boston on Saturday night. “The thing is in my head that I was trying to [let] Stefanos is the leader on the pitch… especially in the first set, ”said Rublev, according to the Laver Cup website.

Before the doubles clash, Tsitsipas spoke positively about Rublev and said he didn’t expect the Russian to be this fun. World No.1 Novak Djokovic has had one of his best seasons this year. He won titles in the first three Grand Slam events of the season.
Only a few selected players have managed to beat the Serbian ace this season.
