Possible trade from Deshaun Watson to the Dolphins
Next Tuesday is the deadline for NFL teams to reduce their rosters from 80 to 53 players. This means that Texans they have less than 48 hours to resolve their situation with the QB Deshaun Watson. The problems are many and the options are few. However, several NFL executives, who are not directly involved in discussions of a possible trade, informed Pro Football Talk that there has been growing talk of negotiations involving Watson; and are the Dolphins who go to the head.

Citing an anonymous team that dropped out of trade talks, Robinson reported that Houston is still asking for three first-round picks and two second-round picks to trade. However, he adds that Miami is trying to seek protection against the possibility of Watson losing playing time due to the 22 civil lawsuits and 10 criminal complaints still pending against him.
To these reports are added those of Barry Jackson from the Miami Herald, who notes that the Dolphins “remain intrigued by the possibility” of landing Watson. However, Jackson adds that Miami is not willing to give Houston everything they ask for in return. This is a problem for those led by David Culley because, at this point only the Dolphins are interested in a possible negotiation, everything will fall on whether Houston considers or suitable to reduce its demands before a possible trade, or if Miami will be able to find a middle ground to seize the services of the Clemson alumnus.

Minnesota and Harrison Smith sign contract extension
One of the best safeties in the NFL managed to sign a new deal this Sunday. Harrison Smith and Minnesota reached a 4-year, 64 million dollar contract extension with 26.38 fully guaranteed, reported Mike Golic Jr. of ESPN Radio. With this new contract, Smith will be tied to the Vikings through the 2025 NFL Season. Additionally, he also became the league’s second-highest-paid safety, only behind Jamal Adams, of the Seahawks.
Counting the last year of Smith’s current contract in Minnesota, this new agreement will be for 5 years and 74.83 million dollars, apart, he will receive 22.5 million dollars during the next 8 months, which marks the highest amount of money in that period in the history of the NFL for a safety.
Smith, 32, of Notre Dame, came to the league in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, and has been an integral part of Minnesota’s defense ever since. Texans send Shaq Lawson to Jets
This Sunday, via Adam Schefter from ESPN, it was reported that Texans they sent the pass rusher Shaq Lawson to the Jets in exchange for a sixth-round pick for the 2022 NFL Draft. Colts injuries: Sam Ehlinger, TY Hilton and Sam Tevi
Throughout this preseason, injuries have not let the players breathe. Colts, and this weekend was no exception. The Indianapolis offense suffered a major setback heading into the 2021 NFL Season due to the following three casualties: OT Sam Tevi, QB Sam Ehlinger and WR TY Hilton.
Tevi, who signed a one-year contract with the Colts during this offseason, suffered a torn ACL in the NFL 2021 Preseason Week 3 game in Indianapolis last Friday and will miss the entire 2021 NFL Season, Mike reported. Vikings are left without Irv Smith Jr. due to meniscus surgery
In more NFL news, Minnesota’s offense suffered a heavy loss heading into the 2021 NFL Season. Vikings will have to start the regular season without Irv Smith Jr., tight end team starter. Via NFL’s Tom Pelissero NetworkIt was reported that Smith will undergo surgery for a meniscus injury and will not arrive in time for the start of the regular season.
