NBA rumors: Porzingis to the Celtics and Schröder to the Mavs

The rumores NBA they do not stop appearing in Dallas Mavericks, and it is expected that sooner or later they will be a reality with the departure of Kristaps Porzingis in exchange for reinforcements to boost the team.

Kenneth Teape of NBA Analysis Network reported that there is a possibility that Boston Celtics can make an offer for the European interior to improve their internal game, something that has weighed heavily in recent years.

In the exchange scenario that this American journalist comments, the Celtics would obtain Porzingis and Trey Burke of the Mavericks in exchange for a package that includes Al Horford, Dennis Schröder, Aaron Nesmith, a 2022 first-round pick and a 2024 first-round pick.

With his injury history and great contract, giving all those assets for Porzingis would certainly be a great gamble for the Celtics. However, if he comes out, they could improve on what they did last season with many more points and offensive resources. I would give them a third star that fits the timeline of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, a very reliable scorer under the basket and a good rebounder.

Is it a good option for Dallas?

Horford may already be a veteran, but compared to Porzingis he’s more consistent in the zone and able to take on most of the league’s starting centers. Meanwhile, having Schröder on the Mavericks would ease the load on the shoulder of Luka Doncic in terms of scoring and creating plays.
