The national coach is referring to the rest of the ‘old guard’: Kemperman, De Wijn, Pruyser, Hertzberger and Van Ass. They are also no longer in the Dutch national team for the time being. This means that the average age of the team drops by about four years: from 28.4 to almost 25 years.
Warmerdam is at Oranje
But where one disappears from the list, a door suddenly opens for the other. The same goes for Dennis Warmerdam, Pinoké player.
The former captain of the Dutch Juniors was never selected by former national team coach Max Caldas for the ‘big’ Orange, but can now report to Delmee. A special moment for the Pinoké player, as his hockey career was hanging by a thread.
