Martial arts show to kick off in Wittenberg

Wittenberg – Lord Mayor Torsten Zugehre opened the Tai Chi Qi Gong Day. To start with, the martial arts team headed by the head of department Bärbel Färber from SV Grün-Weiß Wittenberg-Piesteritz presented a martial arts show. The demonstrations started and ended with Qi Gong, and elements from karate, judo and tai chi double subjects were presented. In the hands-on campaign, a little over 50 participants from Tai Chi, Karate and various sports and senior clubs, but also non-athletes from Wittenberg, Saxony-Anhalt and Berlin, committed to peaceful coexistence.

The participants practiced the Chinese health-oriented forms of exercise together in the open air. “Everyone obviously had fun, especially with the plate and the clever exercises. These are finger exercises to form synapses, ”says Färber. At the end of the hands-on activity, everyone formed an “energy circle” in order to pass on the positive, relaxed and peaceful energy and to send it far away.

In addition, a small exhibition about 50 years of martial arts with judo, karate, tai chi and qi gong was presented.

After noon, some of the participants completed the “Heart Qi Gong” course, also under the direction of Bärbel Färber, and were amazed that this was quite a physical and mental challenge. “Only those who try Tai Chi-Qi Gong can experience it. And if you also show patience and perseverance, you will feel a positive physical change. In this way you can find your way back to the natural and relaxed movements that you have already mastered as a child, ”says department head Bärbel Färber about the MZ. (mz)
