Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez emerged as the fastest in free practice I MotoGP Aragon 2021. Maverick Vinales finished this session in 19th position.
At MotorLand Aragon, Friday (10/9/2021) afternoon WIB, Marquez appeared the fastest since the beginning. The eight-time world champion finally posted a best time of 1 minute 48.048 seconds, barely a second off Joan Mir in second place.
Ducati rider Francesco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia finished this opening practice in third place with a time difference of 1.1 seconds from Marquez. Meanwhile, Marquez’s younger brother, Alex Marquez, took fourth place at the end of the session ahead of Jack Miller.
MotoGP standings leader Fabio Quartararo was not quite okay after packing 1 minute 49.451 seconds to finish eighth, behind Aleix Espargaro and Johann Zarco. Takaaki Nakagammi and Pol Espargaro round out the top 10.
Meanwhile, Maverick Vinales, who will soon make his debut with Aprilia, only finished this practice in 19th place. Vinales is 2.1 seconds adrift of Marquez and is ahead of his former teammate, Valentino Rossi.
Rossi himself experienced crash at the fifth corner.
