The Persib Bandung vs Barito Putera duel is over. Maung Bandung won 1-0 thanks to Marc Klok’s debut goal.
The inaugural match of the two teams in the 2021 BRI Liga 1 will be held at the Indomilk Arena, Tangerang, Saturday (4/9/2021) night WIB. Persib fielded their best team, including Ezra Walian, Wander Luiz, and Marc Klok.
Barito, who was reinforced by many young players, was under pressure from Persib from the early minutes. In the ninth minute, Klok opened the door but his free-kick hit the bar.
After that, Persib tried to penetrate Barito’s tight defense. It was Ezra’s turn in the 13th minute whose close-range shot was pushed over by Muhammad Riyandi.
Persib continued to pound the defense and had time to score a goal through Rashid but was disallowed for offside. The first half ended 0-0.
In the second half, Persib increased the intensity of the attack. Febri Hariyadi had a chance in the 47th minute, unfortunately his shot was saved by Riyandi.
Barito Putera has threatened several times on the counter-attack but has not been able to score a goal. One more chance Persib hit the post in the 74th minute, this time from Beckham Putra’s kick.
Barito got his first chance in the 76th minute through Aleksandar Rakic, but Muhammad Natsir was able to deny it. The deadlock was also broken in the 85th minute.
It was Marc Klok who broke into Barito’s goal after getting a free kick on the right side of the defense. The ball slid fast without being driven by Riyandi.
