Judoka Renée Lucht from HT16 Hamburg defended her title at the German championships in Stuttgart. In the over 78 kilogram class, she won the final against Maxime Brausewetter from JC Leipzig on Sunday after just 26 seconds using the choking technique.
In the class up to 52 kilos, Mascha Ballhaus (TH Eilbeck) took third place together with Verena Thumm (TV 1846 Mosbach). In the men’s category, Yerrick Schriever (TH Eilbeck) also came third in the 73 kilo limit.
Schleswig-Holstein’s David Ickes from Budokan Lübeck took silver in the class up to 66 kilos. In the final he had to admit defeat to Severin Edmeier from Munich. Lilli Louise Wojta from SC Itzehoe came in fifth in the class over 78 kilos.
