Judo, the updated world rankings after the Olympics. Giuffrida stable in 4th place, Milani and Parlati – OA Sport jump into the top 10

After the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games, the new Olympic cycle for judo has already restarted in recent days towards the Paris 2024 Olympics. The first post-Olympic World Tour event has already been staged in Zagreb and in the meantime the world rankings have in fact been “thawed” of the various weight categories after the changes introduced during the Covid period.

The results in Tokyo, coupled with the loss of all points obtained more than two years ago, have resulted in gods important changes for many judokas in the World Ranking List. Manuel Lombardo (who is preparing to change category) is still the best positioned Italian in the standings, but he has lost the absolute leadership in his 66 kg in favor of the Korean An Baul.

Stable in fourth place in the 52 kg Odette Giuffrida, also thanks to the 1100 points placed in the farmhouse with the bronze in Tokyo, while Christian Parlati and Francesca Milani make their entry into the top 10, both eighth respectively in the -81 and -48 kg. Nice step forward for Alice Bellandi too, 14th in the 70 kg after seventh place at the Olympics.
