Taggia. Last Sunday took place ad Aix en Provence (France) an important International judo team tournament, to which the Ligurian Regional Committee Fijlkam Judo sector has entered two teams. He has been called up to compete in one of the two formations Samuel Della Torre, Senior Kg. Over 100, athlete of Judo Club Sakura Arma di Taggia asd, which with this competition celebrated the return to competitions of considerable competitive interest, after the brake due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The technical teacher of the competitive sector of the Judo Club Sakura Arma di Taggia asd, Alessio Ferrigno, commented: «Beyond the alternating results of the matches, it was a good opportunity, a breath of enthusiasm that gives a further boost to the will of the athletes to prepare themselves in the best possible way. Having competed in a context that saw thirteen teams competing with important athletes, including one fresh from the Tokyo Olympics, meant that the desire to resume competitions in the best possible way was strengthened even more. Next Saturday we will participate in Arenzano in the Regional Qualifications of the Italian Cadet Championship, while Lorenzo Rossi left for Ostia Lido, summoned by Fijlkam to participate in the pre-world championship meeting in Olbia ».
