Inmude recognizes Joel Ortiz Reyes as one of the best coaches – El Sol de Durango

With a trajectory of more than 15 years as a basketball coach for children, youth and adults, the Municipal Sports Institute (INMUDE), recognizes Joel Ulises Ortiz Reyes, better known as “El Sugar” in sports, as one of the best in this sport in Durango.

The director of INMUDE, Adrián Granados Ávila, congratulates Professor Ortiz, for being one of the promoters of this sport, as his passion is demonstrated by training youth teams at universities in Durango.

For his part, the winner thanked the Municipal Government chaired by Jorge Salum del Palacio and INMUDE for this recognition, which undoubtedly enhances this sport and gives a boost to his career.

From the age of 6, “the sugar” as his friends and students know him, began to practice this sport that has undoubtedly given him great satisfaction, but above all as a coach, since he has managed to take several teams to nationals.

Professor Joel Ortiz, has, in addition to a degree in Physical Education, with courses at the national and local level, and his experience as a coach has borne fruit in several universities, such as the Autonomous University of Durango, the Sun Devils IED academy, organizer of the women’s basketball league and is currently the assistant coach of the National Professional Basketball League team Leñadores de Durango.
