In the dojo, the taïso helps to regain vitality

At the judo-club-bagnérais, the teaching team gives judo lessons to toddlers from the age of 3 and without long limit. For the third year in a row, the Taïso Cardio-Training courses are having an impact on fitness enthusiasts and are suitable for adults and “older children” as specified by President Edwige Aubry. If the judo club participates throughout the year in competitions and if the progress of the practitioners is sanctioned by a colored belt, in Taïso “it is the resistance and endurance of everyone who speaks” continues the president, and to detail that the lady who comes to recover a little the health sees, over the weeks, her capacity to do better and better with each session of one hour. This discipline borrows its codes from the warm-up in judo before attacking an hour of work which solicits all the muscles. Taïso (pronounced “taïsso”) means “preparation of the body” in Japanese.

“Endurance, better coordination, tonic muscles are guaranteed from the end of the first month, even if you only do one session per week. Provided, of course, that you eat a balanced diet” reassures André Monpelat, judo teacher in Tarbes and Bagnères for over 50 years. Sweating, burning calories, eliminating, with a little “detox” effect is very appreciable and concentrating helps to relieve stress and to feel real well-being at the end of the session. For the president, the interest is to perform the movements of daily and professional life more easily and with less pain.
