Hyun-Jin Ryu placed on the injured list

The Blue Jays have learned the bad news: Pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu will not be able to make his next start due to stiff neck.

He was therefore placed on the injured list.

The bad news in itself is the hole it makes in the rotation. After all, in the last few games, Ryu had become a problem and a solution had to be found, him who was clearly injured.

It is said that the pitcher got up this morning, got stiff and was placed on the injured list. Looks like the club were looking for an excuse to put him on the injured list, even though they didn’t want to miss a start.

It will therefore be necessary to find a replacement for him. The Jays, who plan to pitch Alek Manoah on Tuesday to give him a few more days off and Robbie Ray tomorrow, will need a pitcher for Wednesday against the Rays.

Thursday and Friday, it will be Steven Matz and Jose Berrios.

On Wednesday, the Jays could play Ross Stripling by asking him as much as possible. Thomas Hatch threw in the minors yesterday, which is flush…

Good challenge in Toronto, then.
