Hornets want to secure second place

HOCHTAUNUS – Season finale: In the 2nd Bundesliga Southwest baseball, the Bad Homburg Hornets are expecting their neighbors Hünstetten Storm for the last double header in the 2021 season on Sunday at 12 noon. Due to the two defeats in the top game against leaders Mainz Athletics II, the “hornets” have gambled away their theoretical chances of winning the championship on Sunday and now have to concentrate on defending second place against Hünstetten. The host team of head coach Jamie Harrison needs two wins, because the Bad Homburgers are currently in the table with 15: 7 wins, while opponent Storm has 12: 6 wins.

There has been a “split” in each of the four previous matches in the 2021 Bundesliga round. In Hünstetten, the Hornets won 3: 1 and lost 3: 6 on June 6th, while the second leg on July 25th at Taunus Baseball Park initially lost 6:11 and then won 12:11 the Kurstädter gave.
