Despite lockdown and closed halls: It hasn’t been all bad lately. For example, the online sports offers by Sabine Striegl and Marcel Bieber or by Stephanie Beierl at TV Vohenstrauß were very well received. “Thanks to your commitment and willingness to change, we were able to master the crisis excellently. We can all be proud of that, ”said Chairman Klaus Nigg at the annual general meeting in the town hall.

Nigg was convinced that the athletes and trainers not only made an important contribution to health, but also to society. With its extensive range of leisure, competitive, popular and health sports, the gymnastics club is unbeatable. This is mainly thanks to the excellently trained instructors.

In addition, Nigg presented impressive figures: In 2019, 78 trainers held 5052 hours. As of March 21, 2020, the membership was 1762 people, 999 female and 763 male members.

In 2020 there were 57 trainers with 2,876 training units, and the membership as of January 31, 2021 was exactly 1,668 people. Unfortunately, 94 members have been lost, the chairman regretted. Due to the lack of sports facilities, the club did not have any new entries. The current membership is, however, already a gratifying 1712.

Hannah Wittmann, Emily Bauer, Markus Mathy, Philipp Stangl and Katharina Rackl passed their trainer license. The board decided to suspend the active contribution for 2021. The number of board members is to be increased by three assessors or advisory boards in the future. In addition, it was included in the statutes that the general meeting can also be held online without new elections. The volunteer fee of 500 euros has been increased to 840 euros.

Second Mayor Uli Münchmeier emphasized that the whole burden is on the shoulders of these officials. As the largest sports club in the district, TV is an integral part of sporting and social life far beyond the city limits. He also mentioned the good cooperation in the renovation of the triple gym, which is now a “jewel box”. The hall floor in the Eglseeturnhalle is to be replaced next year, preferably during the summer holidays.

The result of the new elections: Chairman Klaus Nigg; 2nd chairman Dieter Mittelmeier; 3rd chairman Wolfgang Weber; 1. Technical Manager Stephanie Beierl; 1. Treasurer Josef Pflaum; Secretary Manuela Völkl. The extended board consists of the following members: 2. Technical director Sabine Striegl; 2. Treasurer Sybille Schober; Youth leader Marcel Bieber. New members of the advisory board are Dominik Buchbinder, Magdalena Simon and Bettina Voit.

Anton Bäuml, Reinhold Dobmeier, Dagmar Heine, Anna Horn, Andrea Vitzthum, Peter Wittmann, Katja Zierer, Hermann Schötz, Silvia Rebl, Stefan Schinabeck, Sonja Wolf and Katharina Oikarinnen work on the association committee. Gabriele Buchbinder and Franz Wolf check the cash register.

Nigg also announced the department heads: Hans Kleierl (badminton); Josef Eiber (TV choir “Liederkranz”); Sabine Krahmer (family group); Bernd Koller (Judo); Marcel Bieber (karate); Wolfgang Weber (Nordic Walking); Andreas Beierl (swimming); Markus Baierl (ski); Andreas Eger (sports badge); Jonathan Mirus (sports badge), Alfred Arnold (table tennis); Alfred Schwabl (triathlon); Manuela Völkl (regular gymnastics); Sabine Striegl (course offer); Monika Zeller (dance), Emmi Weber (seniors); Pertti Oikarinnen (volleyball).
