Giessen 46ers plan a full hall

Finally the Bundesliga basketball league like before Corona: The Giessen 46ers are planning to fill the east hall full. That could work with 2G.

Shortly before the start of the new basketball season, the good news comes for all Giessen 46ers fans: Thanks to the new 2G rule in Hesse, the Osthalle could soon be cooking properly again! In the test matches, masks and distance were compulsory so far. With the new Corona resolutions in Hesse, the mask and distance at 2G are no longer applicable. That means the hall could be filled up again with 3,572 seats if only vaccinated and recovered fans come in. The traditional club is now announcing this. Owners of a VIP or season ticket would then be able to enjoy their safe seat again. Tagestickes will also be available again, but they can only be bought online.

Those unable to be vaccinated are welcome anyway

Children from 6 to 11 years of age are excluded from the 2G rule. Since they are tested regularly at school, they only need a PCR or antigen test during the holidays. People who cannot be vaccinated for valid medical reasons must bring proof of this and also a PCR or antigen test.

Season start on September 26th

This means that the first game of the new Bundesliga season could finally take place again as it did before Corona. At the start of the season, Central Hesse will compete against medi bayreuth on Sunday, September 26th. The home game in the Gießen-Ost sports hall starts at 3 p.m.
