Axel Koßmann continued the meeting with the annual report. Of course, Corona also accompanied the TuS like every single person. Many sports activities could not take place due to the applicable Corona rules. Thanks to the great dedication and commitment of many, it was possible at times to offer alternative sport through online courses. Hygiene concepts were created with a lot of effort and agreed with the executive board.

2nd chairman Benno Susewind was in constant contact with the city of Arnsberg. The ladies Heike Storm and Claudia Adam from the office also achieved a lot during this difficult time. When it could finally start again, the 2nd wave came and everything stood still again. Exercise leaders, marginally employed workers had to be dismissed and the employees of the office had to be sent on short-time work, with a precautionary view of the club’s resources. All of them were immediately hired again as soon as the sport was possible again.

His thanks also went to the exemplary cooperation of individual departments in the area of hygiene concepts and cabin use. All this led to the fact that the number of members only decreased slightly by approx. 3% to 2,370 in contrast to other associations.

Unfortunately, in the Corona crisis, you had to do without the visits and congratulations of the birthday children. They therefore received vouchers from the Oeventrop advertising association by post.

Numerous events such as street running, Eichholzcup, village tournament and beach handball cup could not be carried out. Let’s all hope that this will be possible again next year. Many sports activities are running again after initial “problems” with the 3G rules and have “settled in”. His appeal went to all participants: “Get vaccinated”.

The Rewe campaign “Scheine für Vereine 2020 + 2021” had really paid off for TuS Oeventrop. The money was used to buy the large climbing frame on the sports field, as well as balls, jump ropes, sets for handball training, etc. “Other clubs don’t even get a fraction of it, which shows how well Oeventrop sticks together,” says Axel Koßmann.

In planning

With a view to the future, he was able to report that the renovation of the tennis home is being carried out by Olaf Heckmann and Christoph Aufderbeck under the grant program “Modern Sports Facilities 2022”. A working group “Homepage TuS Oeventrop” will modernize the site, whereby many departments were already very active. The beach volleyball field is to be converted and equipped with artificial turf. The shot put facility is relocated. After the flood in July, the cleaning of the artificial turf field by the court and hall attendants has already taken place in order to preserve the club’s assets. Friedrich Merz, Dagmar Freitag, Dirk Wiese and Mayor Ralf Paul Bittner had already met with Friedrich Merz, Dagmar Freitag, Dirk Wiese and Mayor Ralf Paul Bittner for the damage to the running track on the sports field caused by the flood. There has already been a loose promise for the renovation in spring 2022, although the Council decision remains to be seen.

125 years of TuS 1896 eV Oeventrop

Actually, this year would have marked the 125th anniversary of TuS 1896 e. V. Oeventrop celebrated. Due to the constantly changing corona rules already in the planning period, the decision was made to postpone the date to next year. The celebrations should not take place in a small circle of chosen people, but with the entire Oeventrop population and befriended sports clubs from the area on November 4th, 2022 in the Oeventroper Schützenhalle.

Cash report

Thanks to the precautionary look at the association’s funds, cashier Bruno Klute was able to read out a positive cash report as usual. Cash auditor Michael Glaremin therefore made the motion to grant discharge to the cashier and thus also to the entire board, which was unanimously approved by the meeting.

Choose

The second chairman Benno Susewind, second secretary Christiane Burmann and cash auditor Michael Glaremin were re-elected and confirmed in their office.

2. Cashier and Honorary Chairman Christian Eschbach, did not stand for election again. “It is time to move this position into younger hands,” said Christian. With a lot of applause and a big present, the board and participants thanked him for his commitment. Mathias Grote was unanimously elected to the board as 2nd cashier.

After only one heading had to be changed under Item 8 “Amendment to the Articles of Association”, which was unanimously approved and no relevant requests to speak under Item Miscellaneous, Chairman Axel Koßmann was able to end the meeting at 9:35 pm with the final whistle.

Unfortunately, the small snack afterwards and the cozy get-together had to be dispensed with at the end because of the applicable Corona rules.
