Gaziantep Basketball defeated Bursaspor 56-66 in the last match of the 1st Yalçın Efe Basketball Tournament held in Ankara and won its first trophy of the season.
Having defeated Türk Telekom and Beşiktaş in the previous matches, the Red and Black team also defeated Bursaspor and became the champion of the tournament.
While Alpha Kaba was effective in the victory with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, Jamar Gulley 14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists in Gaziantep Basketball, Ilerik Freeman 12 points, 1 rebound, Derek Needham 10 points, 5 rebounds, 5 rebounds in Bursaspor. 6 assists, Onuralp Bitim finished with 13 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist.
Gaziantep started by defending well as in all the friendly matches and brought the score to 12-7 in the 5th minute. Opening the gap with three pointers, Gaziantep finished the first period ahead 22-13.
At the beginning of the second period, Bursaspor tried to hold on to the game by preparing a position for Onuralp Bitime, drawing the lead to 2 points (26-24) in the 4th minute. While the first half ended with the superiority of Gaziantep 39-37, Allerik Freeman scored 10 points and Quentin Level Peterson became the scorers of their teams with 9 points.
