G-badminton – Smash BC

G-badminton is badminton that is adapted to people with a physical or mental disability and/or ASD. We provide a fun and relaxed leisure time during the training sessions on Tuesday and Saturday. There is also the possibility to participate in competition. We participate in tournaments organized by different badminton clubs: the Belgian championship, the Limburg championship and the Special Olympics.

Our target group consists of people with a physical disability, intellectual disability and/or people with ASD. People with a physical disability have the choice to participate in wheelchair badminton, sitting badminton or standing badminton. People with intellectual disabilities and people with ASD often end up in the group of G players (standing badminton players).

The training sessions take place on Tuesday from 4.30 pm to 6 pm for wheelchair badminton players and the G players (standing badminton players). On Saturday, the groups are split up and first the wheelchair badminton players (and sitting badminton players) train from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM and the G players (standing badminton players) from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
