Final Basketball League on the same stage

Manuel Fortuna again in the finals

Throughout its fifteen-year history, the National Basketball League (LNB) has been building great individual careers and one of them is that of the guard and franchise player of the Santo Domingo Lions, Manuel Fortuna, who will be appearing in his sixth final in the LNB, of those six two were with the former Panthers of the District and four after the organization was renamed Leones de Santo Domingo.

The path in the finals for the popular “Mañé” has gone from less to more, since in the first two appearances his team was defeated by the Reales de La Vega and the Metros de Santiago, respectively. However, for the 2011 season he was able to help the Reds win the first championship, who defeated the Cocolos de San Pedro de Macorís team in six games.

For the 2016 season, Fortuna writes another chapter to his long career in the LNB, becoming the Most Valuable Player in what has undoubtedly been the greatest final series of the National Basketball League, where the Santo Domingo Lions won in seven games to the Santiago Metros.

With a different role than he had in his stellar years, Fortuna will be trying to help win the third crown of the Santo Domingo Lions and this places him as the only player in this final who has appeared on the roster every time his team has been in the maximum event.
