feat in Mauritania, Guineans by the wayside

Like the Champions League, the return preliminary round was on the program this weekend in the Confederation Cup.

After their 3-1 home victory in the first leg, FAR Rabat, hung 0-0 by Buffalo Borgou in Benin, and Tunisians from US Ben Guerdane, although beaten in Niger by AS Police (0 -1), have validated their ticket for the next round. This is also the case of the Mauritanians of ASAC Concorde, who accomplished the feat of overthrowing the Togolese of ASC Kara 4-0, winners 3-0 in the first leg!

No miracle, however, for the Guineans of Ashanti Golden Boys, deprived of a home match following the coup and eliminated, like their compatriots from Wakriya last week. Same fate for Gabonese Mangasport and Ivorians FC San Pédro, surprised at home by Burkinabè ASFA Yennenga (1-2).

Now place at second preliminary round, marked by the entry into the running of the 13 best clubs exempted from the first round.
