Failures in the electrical power cause the suspension of the game between the Giants and the Llaneras of the Women’s National Superior Basketball

The lack of electricity in the Antonio R. Barceló Coliseum, in Toa Baja, caused this Tuesday night the suspension of the match of the Women’s National Superior Basketball (BNSF) in which the Carolina Giants would visit at Llaneras.

The match, which was scheduled for 8:00 pm today, will take place on a date to be announced later, the BSNF reported on its social networks.

This suspension occurs one day after the cancellation of a Men’s Superior Basketball (BSN) match between the Quebradillas Pirates and the Carolina Giants for the same reason. A similar event occurred on August 29 with the cancellation of the clash between the Cariduros de Fajardo and the Brujos de Guayama at the Roque Nido Coliseum.

Faults in unit 1 of Aguirre, and in units 3 and 4 of Palo Seco caused that over 100,000 subscribers will be without electricity this morning. Likewise, the consortium LUMA Energy has announced that they expect more selective blackouts, lasting up to four hours, to occur in the coming days because the demand and consumption of electricity continues to be greater than the available generation capacity.
