Europeans M: Sensational! Hadrava & co. they beat France 3-0

France – Czech Rep. 0-3 (22-25, 19-25, 32-34) – the match report

OSTRAVA – Sensational in Ostrava. Dragged by the 18 points of Hadrava (58% of winnings and 46% of eff. In att., 2 walls and 1ace) and from 15 of Vasina (71% of win. And 67% of actual eff.) The hosts of the Tail. Ceca they beat the Olympic champions of the 3-0 France and now in the quarterfinals they will face Slovenia already beaten by surprise on the first day of the group.
In the 3rd set France, who accused the difficult day of Ngapeth (48% of winnings and only 17% of actual eff.) E Clevenot (only 39% of win. and 11% of actual effect) has 2 set points to reopen the game at 22-24, but collects 3 consecutive points and eventually capitulates to the 9th match ball.

THE MATCH
1° set: The match starts badly for France, which often runs into the Czech wall (5 in the set) and immediately goes below 0-4. Bernardinho’s team is not effective in the break phase and even slips to -7: 11-18. The transalpines are finally set in motion (15-18) and arrive at -1 with Patry’s ace (20-21). The tie, however, does not arrive and at the first set point Patry runs into the wall: 22-25. 7 points and 75% in att. for Hadrava in the set.

2° set: Three break points on each side until 6-6. An invasion costs France 9-11, Hadrava puts the ace of +3: 10-13. France never scored in the break phase, first Hadrava (10-14) and then Vasina (16-21) succeeded. Finger’s block (on the field for the double change) on Ngapeth (18-24) and the mistake of the newly entered Louati (19-25) close the set.

3° set: Le Goff is immediately wrong (0-1), there is the first wall on Hadrava (2-1) who will remain the only one of the match. The errors of Patry (2-3) and Clevenot (5-7) push ahead the Czech Rep. Recovered by Ngapeth (7-7). Hadrava is wrong (8-7), Patry hits in the serve (9-7) and in counterattack (10-7). The Czech Republic returns with Vasina’s counterattack (11-10), Patry’s mistake (11-11) and Ngapeth’s (11-12). Bartos (from the end of the 1st set on the pitch in place of Galabov) signs the break of 14-16, but this time France does not give up and draws with the block of Le Goff (16-16) to then go forward with Patry (19- 18) thanks to Grebennikov’s defense on Hadrava. We proceed point by point until Clevenot’s counterattack (24-22) which seems decisive to close the set. Instead on the second point Grebennikov receives long and Brizard invades (24-24). Zajicek’s great wall on Le Goff gives the first match point to the Czech Republic: 24-25. Clevenot and Patry keep France in the running, but Vasina and Hadrava make no mistake and the Czech Republic remains ahead. At 28-29 France concedes a free ball, but Monik arrives late on the second touch and Hadrava can only support in the dribble, Ngapeth cancels: 29-29. The Czech Republic enters the field to celebrate Clevenot’s alleged attack out (it would have been 29-31), but the video check reveals an invasion of the wall (30-30) and we continue. Hadrava and Vasina continue to win match points for the locals and on the ninth chance arrives the wall of Zajicek on Ngapeth: 32-34.
