Big teams win on results 2022 World Cup Qualification European zone: UK, Germany, Spain and Belgium. Euro 2020 champions Italy and France failed to win.

Italy were held to a goalless Swiss draw in the match which took place at St. Jacob Park, Monday (6/9). In this match the 2021 European Player of the Year Jorginho missed a penalty. Despite failing to win, Italy remains at the top of Group C with 11 points, four points ahead of Switzerland.

France also failed to win after being held to a 1-1 draw by Ukraine. Previously, Les Bleus were also held to a 1-1 draw by Bosnia in Group D. Even so, France remained top of Group D with nine points, four points ahead of Finland.

Spain successfully won 4-0 over Georgia at the Estadio Vivero, Badajoz. Jose Gaya, Carlos Soler, Ferran Torres and Pablo Sarabia each scored one goal in this match. Spain leads by one point over Sweden in Group B thanks to this win.

England also won 4-0 at home to Andorra at Wembley. Jesse Lingard scored twice in this match, with Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka both scoring one goal.

Belgium successfully beat the Czechs 3-0 through goals from Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard, and Alexis Saelemaekers. This victory makes Belgium more and more not overtaken in Group E with 13 points, six points ahead of the Czechs.

Germany went on a rampage by beating dark horse team Armenia 6-0 in Stuttgart. Serge Gnabry scored two goals, followed by Marco Reus, Timo Werner, Jonas Hofmann and Karim Adeyemi who scored one goal each. Germany now has 12 points, two points ahead of Aremania in Group J.
