EFEAB30C OU 4B538E50 – 2K Support

If you try to play NBA 2K22 but receive a message with the error codes “EFEAB30C” or “4B538E50”, you may not have downloaded the latest update. You will not be able to play again until you update your version of the game.

Downloading this data to your console or PC may take some time depending on the size of the data to be downloaded and the speed of your Internet connection.

Once the download is complete, you will see a message asking you to return to the game’s main menu to complete the update. You should then be able to resume your game without any problem.

Typically, it only takes one or two Play Mode matches to trigger the download. Once your match is over, you will see the update message appear in a corner prompting you to return to the main menu. A loading screen may appear during the installation of the NBA 2K22 update. Once the update is complete, you will automatically return to the main menu.

This is the main reason for these error messages to appear, but it is not the only one. Here are others, with the procedure to follow to solve them.

The account confirmation email should be resent.

To do this, follow the next steps.

1. Go to: https://www.nba2k.com.
2. Click “Sign-in” at the top right.
3. Enter your MyPLAYER account nickname and password.
4. Your account is automatically verified when you log in.

You may receive these error messages if you have exceeded the number of NBA 2K accounts allowed on a console.

You cannot have more than 5 on the same console. If you create a 6th one, a security protocol is put in place to prevent it from accessing the servers. Only the first 5 NBA 2K accounts will be able to play online.

Software may block your connection to our servers.

In this case, you will have to attempt a PathPing and a TraceRoute.

Don’t worry, it’s not very complicated. Follow the steps below.

1. On a computer (connected to your router), open the Windows menu, type CMD and press Enter.
2. In the prompt that appears, type the following command: pathping -n 104.255.107.131
3. After a few seconds, a series of statistics should be displayed. To copy the content, right click in the window and choose Select All. Right click again and select Copy. Open Notepad, then Ctrl + V to paste this information into Notepad.
4. Return to the prompt, type tracert 104.255.107.131 and press Enter. Wait for the window to indicate “Trace Complete”. Also copy the information and send it to us as an attachment.

The space reserved for the game on your hard drive has been deleted.

The space reserved on your hard drive is intended to house updates and patches. Games like NBA 2K and WWE 2K regularly make use of this feature. If you remove the placeholder from a game, the game will recreate it on launch. When this happens, if the process is canceled, you may experience some issues (such as the EFEAB30C error message appearing in NBA 2K).

We cannot repeat it enough: do not delete a game’s reserved space on your hard drive.

Your data is not synchronized.

Sometimes files may seem missing if the data is not synchronized (this happens especially if you have deleted the placeholder). Then select the Play option to allow your game to receive the update message. The message may take a long time to appear (up to several hours) depending on the amount of data to be synchronized.

Once the message has been received, you will need to return to the main menu. A loading screen will then appear to allow the update to be installed. Once the update is complete, you will automatically return to the main menu.

If you are having this issue on Nintendo Switch, please follow the steps below.

1. Hold the POWER button next to the volume buttons on your Switch.
2. A menu should appear. Choose Power Options.
3. Completely shut down your console.
4. Hold the POWER button to restart your console and start NBA 2K.
REMARK : after completing these steps, you may receive a message telling you that your MyPLAYER account has expired, so follow the steps below.

On a computer:

1. Go to: https://www.nba2k.com.
2. Click “Sign-in” at the top right.
3. Select the online service you use to play (Xbox Live, PSN, Nintendo, or Steam).
4. Enter the e-mail address or nickname and password that you use to connect to this service.
Once logged in, your account will be verified. You can now restart your console and relaunch NBA 2K. You should be able to play without any problem.
