Raphaël tested a new game concept, AirBadminton. The goal is to encourage you to play badminton in more varied places. On three dynamic surfaces: hard, grass and sand. With a new steering wheel called Air Shuttle.
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) wants to facilitate access to badminton in a new form, exterior, with new rules, new grounds and a new shuttlecock. Indeed, we often try badminton for the first time in an outdoor environment: in the garden, on the beach, in a park.
The new game concept aims to get more people to play badminton in more places. On three dynamic surfaces: hard, grass and sand. With a new steering wheel called Air Shuttle.
The tested game
This is theAIR BADMINTON. You have to put 8 euros for the box of 3 shuttlecocks. You can buy it on the web and in sports stores.
The studio demo
We test the game in 2 teams to assess the difference between a classic steering wheel and an Air Shuttle.
Raphaël’s opinion
This game can be played anywhere outdoors. The Air Shuttle steering wheel has better wind resistance than the conventional steering wheel. It thus performs better trajectories. Be careful, it requires reducing the string tension of the racket to avoid breaking the strings. Indeed, the Air Shuttle is heavier.
