Demba Ba: Ex-Bundesliga goalscorer ends career

He once went hunting for goals in the Bundesliga for TSG Hoffenheim, now a former top striker hangs up his football boots.

Former Hoffenheim striker Demba Ba has ended his active football career. The former Senegalese international announced on Twitter. The 36-year-old was last without a club.

“With a heart filled with gratitude, I am announcing the end of my playing career. What a wonderful journey it has been. Besides all the sweat and tears I have shed, football has given me so many beautiful feelings,” wrote Demba Ba .

Ba played a total of 439 professional games in his career, scoring 193 goals. He played most of his active career between 2007 and 2011 in Kraichgau, where he helped TSG Hoffenheim to rise to the Bundesliga with 40 goals in 106 games, among other things.
