“I never doubted this team, I would go to war with this team, it doesn’t matter if we play home or away, sometimes we play well and sometimes we play poorly, but the team is there to beat anyone”, he pointed.
Regarding the last victory of the national team, which allowed defining the series against the European team, Sergio Galdós indicated that the match was very intense from start to finish.
“At this level you have opportunities and the other also, it is an important round trip. ‘Nico’ (Álvarez) had chances and took advantage of them, the other also had chances. It is very difficult to draw an average and say what the pattern of the game was, these games are played leaving life on the court, and that is what Nico did, “he said.
Likewise, the Peruvian tennis player highlighted and thanked the public’s encouragement that attended Lawn Tennis. “The public responded very well, the tickets sold out very quickly and I am convinced that the public plays a decisive role, it is a factor that helps.”
With the victory over Bosnia, the Bicolor still stands in the Davis Cup and will have to play another playoff in November, due to its low ranking (39th), to enter the 2022 Qualifiers. Peru’s rival will be one of the three Lower ranked countries that have won their World Group I series. The draw will be this Wednesday.
