After the contract expired, the Argentine joined Paris Saint-Germain on August 10th. Despite the transfer fee saved, the obligation for the French capital club is expensive. After recently the Contract details from Messi’s teammate Neymar were released, the French L’Equipe now also revealed the numbers from Messi’s contract.

Contract options and loyalty bonus – that’s how much Lionel Messi earns

According to L’Equipe, Messi could earn around 110 million euros net by 2024. Although his original working paper only runs until 2023, there is an option for another contract year due to a clause.

The players and the club have agreed on a net salary of EUR 30 million per season. From the second year of the contract, Messi will also be entitled to a loyalty bonus of 10 million euros.
