The long-awaited Nintendo Switch ™ version of “Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot” goes on sale Wednesday, September 22, 2021! To celebrate, we take a look at how the different scenes and locations from the manga have been depicted in the game, breaking things down into four distinct themes. For Part 2 of this four-part series, we’re focusing on some aspects of the game that the development team were determined to master! We will introduce must-see party scenes and an addicting mini-game full of little surprises!
Eat! Monstrous meal galore
“Dragon Ball” is full of scenes depicting intriguing ingredients and feasts of royal proportions. Each region even has its own distinct cuisine, making for a delicious variety of dishes.
Of all the lavish scenes in Dragon Ball, we’re sure you’ll agree that the post-fight meals are especially memorable! Perhaps the cream of the crop is the 50-person banquet that Goku single-handedly devoured following his dramatic loss at the hands of Jackie Chun (Kamesennin in disguise) at the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai.
Food also plays a crucial role in “Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot”! Are you trying, or should we say the tail ?! The food you eat will increase your stats in the game, so a balanced diet is essential for success and an important part of training!
No one does meal scenes like Dragon Ball! Watching all this food starts to make us hungry …!
Gohan and Shapner’s baseball showdown!
Shortly after starting high school, Gohan found himself on the baseball field for the first time in sports class. He stunned his classmates when he effortlessly caught a ball that looked like nothing less than a sensational home run shot by his classmate, Shapner.
Now it’s your turn to step up to the plate in the minigame based on Gohan’s baseball class in “Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot”! But Shapner isn’t your only rival: Yamcha, Android 18, and even Vegeta are all waiting to show you who’s boss! The more discerning of you might notice that just like in the manga, in the game Gohan also uses a reverse grip!
Hit a home run and send that baseball into space!
Next time, we’ll take a look at some destructive scenes that no Dragon Ball fan can afford to miss! See you later!
