Club legend Zé Roberto impressed with muscle photo

Zé Roberto was a long-runner in the Bundesliga. The former Brazilian international has now found a new calling in his home country – and has once again caused a sensation.

336 Bundesliga games, 39 goals, 97 assists: Zé Roberto played in the Bundesliga for a total of twelve years and is one of the best players in the history of the top German division. The long-time Brazilian national player spent six seasons of his time in Germany at FC Bayern Munich, becoming German champion four times and DFB Cup winner four times.

And even after his final departure from the Bundesliga in 2011 – at the age of 37 at the time – he continued for a long time. It was only in 2017 – at the age of 43 – that Zé Roberto ended his great career at the top Brazilian club Palmeiras São Paulo. Stop exercising afterwards? Not because of: the former midfielder has been impressing for years with a steely, muscular body like a bodybuilder, and wants to show that fitness is not a question of age.

The now 47-year-old presented himself again on Instagram as proof – and once again caused astonishment: Every muscle defined, not a gram of fat.

“It’s easier to get noticed when you strive to the very top,” wrote Zé Roberto about his post, linked Arnold Schwarzenegger and asked his followers the question: “Who’s got all his eyes on the top?” For his top fitness he got likes and comments from ex-Bayern star Paulo Sergio, the former Brazilian striker Edmundo and the former Bundesliga defender Felipe Santana (BVB, Schalke), among others.

By the way, Zé Roberto is always on the pitch, including for the FC Bayern legends team on special occasions. The jersey from his active days will probably no longer fit him – with the biceps …
