Chilling injury in NFL; Giants player breaks his leg

The Thursday Night Football first game of the nascent Season 2021 of the NFL one of the creepiest images that we will see throughout the calendar, with the offensive tackle of the New York Giants, Nick Gates, breaking his leg while protecting his quarterback, Daniel Jones.

With just under six minutes remaining in the first quarter, the offensive lineman got stuck between two defenders of the Football Team, one of them accidentally falling with full weight on the leg of the New York element and the result is painful.

The injury was of such magnitude that they decided do not present repetition in the transmission of NFL Network, but some social media users uploaded the exact moment of what clearly looks like a leg fracture.

The referees they stopped the game for the entrance of the doctors, who seeing Nick Gates’s expressions of pain asked for the entrance of the trolley of misfortunes. After a few minutes they immobilized his leg with a inflatable orthopedic boot and so he left MetLife Stadium to the applause of his fans, whom he thanked with raised hands, although it seems that his season ended only in the second game of the year.

The Giants started the season with a loss to the Denver Broncos last Sunday, in which they could never establish the running attack, to the extent that Daniel Jones was the one with the best numbers – despite being the quarterback – with 27 yards, while running back Saquon Barkley barely totaled 26 yards.
