Charleroi knocked on Club Brugge’s door: ‘Openda, Badji and Okereke didn’t come’

Sporting Charleroi was looking for an attacker for a while and Sport/Voetbalmagazine reports that it knocked on the door of Club Brugge. Loïs Openda, Youssouph Badji and David Okereke were on the list.

In the end no one came. Openda was again loaned to Vitesse, Badji to Brest and Okereke went to Venezia. Yuma Suzuki was also mentioned, but the Japanese eventually stayed with STVV and did not go to Club Brugge or Anderlecht.

In recent years, business has been done with Club Brugge a few times: Jérémy Perbet (in the summer of 2018) and Kaveh Rezaei (in the summer of 2019 and 2020). That was not the case in the last transfer period. Now Shamar Nicholson is the attack leader and so far it has worked out well.
