Ceferin voted World Football Summit Manager of the Year

Sevilla, from Spain, and Bengaluru United, from India, shared the distinction for best internationalization strategy, while the Mexican League was awarded for its contribution to the development of women’s football.

UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin won the World Football Summit (WFS) top manager award this Thursday for his “exemplary leadership” in the fight against the creation of the European Superliga and also for the “success” of the Euro ‘2020.

“Aleksander Ceferin deserves this award for his exemplary leadership in the fight against the European Superliga and for the success of Euro2020, the first organized in 11 cities in 11 countries, with the restrictions associated with the covid-19 pandemic,” explained WFS.

Sevilla, from Spain, and Bengaluru United, from India, shared the distinction for best internationalization strategy, while the Mexican League was awarded for its contribution to the development of women’s football.

The WFS also honored striker Marcus Rashford for his contribution to promoting positive change in society and created an award named after the English international that will be awarded annually.
