Cameroonians and Kenyans will face each other this September 19 in the final of an African Women’s Volleyball Championship which was almost canceled after two days of stoppage. An interruption that follows the suspension of the Federation of Rwanda, host of the tournament, for having fielded four ineligible Brazilian players. After long negotiations with the International Federation (FIVB) and the African Confederation (CAVB), competition resumed early this Sunday morning. Cameroon beat Nigeria 3 sets to 0 in the semi-final, while Kenya dismissed Morocco by the same score. Note that Cameroon and Kenya have in the process won their tickets for the 2022 World Championship.
