Cameron Oliver will be at the Lakers training camp

The Los Angeles Lakers will feature Cameron Oliver in their training camp. The Californian franchise has reached an agreement with the forward, who, as reported by the journalist from The Athletic Jovan Buha has signed an Exhibit-10 that will link him to the team during the preseason with options to sign a standard contract. This, however, seems unlikely, as Oliver is expected to end up with the South Bay Lakers of the G League to wait in the bedroom for Frank Vogel to request his presence.

The 25-year-old Cameron tried his luck in the 2017 draft but was unsuccessful and has since moved through teams from the G League, the NBL and even the Israeli league. However, last season he had his first opportunity in the NBA at the hands of the Houston Rockets, who signed a 10-day contract in May that allowed him to play four games.

In them, Oliver averaged a not inconsiderable 10.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 22 minutes, setting his scoring record in the 17 goals he scored precisely for the Lakers. Later, he played the Summer League with the Golden State Warriors, signing 7.2 points per game with a 51.9% accuracy in the shot.

We will see if in this training camp He manages to continue taking steps, but for now it seems that in recent years he is managing to take his career in a good direction. If he continues this climb, he could earn a spot in the league soon.
