When someone says they have to get rid of something, get ready.
The former marshal of the New England Patriots, the always controversial Cam Newton is preparing us for a very interesting episode of “Funky Friday,” by instagram. On Wednesday, the player made some things very clear to us.
“I have many things to get rid of. This is not a retirement speech and I have a lot to offer. “
This was the video he posted on his social media on Wednesday.
Newton probably understands that he will have to be a backup quarterback in order to correct his current situation, and contrary to what many will believe, he is not against that.
Can Can Cam Newton be a substitute?

The question that many must keep in mind is why a former MVP with 139 games played has no desire to be a substitute. Ultimately, a team can release the reins and allow Newton to be a read-option quarterback for a couple of series with little preparation and thus not be embarrassed. Taysom Hill, a much less experienced quarterback, had a similar role with the New Orleans Saints last season and was 3-1 as a starter. There are a couple of factors behind that. One, is the reality that Newton has been substitute. He has been a starter since the first day in Carolina and although he is not publicly against having that role, he never did not do it.
Newton has never been in a situation like the one he was in when he came to the Patriots. Many believed that he and Bill Belichick they would collide, which was totally wrong.
At this point, it would be ridiculous to say that Newton would not be able to be humble having seen him be exactly that for the past 16 months as a member of the Patriots.
Odds will be that his next arrival will have a little less pressure as he will not be replacing Tom Brady, and playing for Belichick in a city that sees a 7-9 season mark as the end of the world.
Life after Cam Newton?
Some Patriots fans are eager to turn the page after the passing of Cam Newton. After all, the 2015 league MVP was only around one season and they didn’t have one of their best seasons with him at the helm. That said, Newton made an impression on the team’s fan base.
Newton is one of the most polarizing athletes in American sport. His presence generates controversy and very passionate opinions. Because of his polarizing abilities, Newton will be a topic of conversation during the 2021 season, regardless of whether he signs with a team or not.
Obviously, Newton is not Tom Brady and he did not play for the Patriots for 20 years, but the fans of the team care what he continues to do. The connection to former Patriots players, no matter how long they were with the team, is a testament to the history read to the organization.
