Real Madrid just won 5-2 against Celta Vigo in the first Bernabéu game in 600 days. The visitors took the lead twice before half time, but De Koninklijke was won over by the inevitable Benzema (hat-trick) and a truly fantastic Vinícius. Newcomer Camavinga also took his goal.
Real Madrid were excellent in the opponent’s half and dramatic in their own half. The good news for us Belgians is that Eden Hazard was able to continue his good form from the Red Devils. His first half was fine. Hazard frolicked as usual, was faster and sharper than his opponents, and had opportunities. After more than an hour his pipe was out and he was taken to the side to applause from the Bernabéu stadium, where Hazard received a big hug from Ancelotti. Real is the leader together with Atlético Madrid and Valencia. Next Sunday is the top match Valencia-Real. But first Madrid is a guest on Wednesday in San Siro, against Inter in the Champions League.
