Ben Simmons would rather play in California

Ben Simmons’ stint in Philadelphia is coming to an end. The player has communicated to the franchise his wish to be transferred and advised that he will not appear at the training camp of the 76ers even if he is fined.

It is now the franchise that will have to manage the situation in the best possible way before the great risk that the value of the player plummets. At first, the board had been calm because of the long duration of the contract of Simmons, who will pocket 146.7 million dollars until 2025. Now, however, they will have to move quickly to find a move that allows them receive as many assets as possible and according to the system.

The journalist of Philadelphia Inquirer In charge of revealing the information, Keith Pompey, has also shared what would be Simmons’ favorite destination: California. This state is home to four NBA franchises: the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Sacramento Kings.

Interestingly, both the Warriors and the Kings had already shown interest in Simmons according to various reports, although both would have withdrawn from the bid due to doubts about the player’s fit in the system and the pieces to sacrifice to take over his services.

For his part, Simmons recently bought a house in Los Angeles for $ 17.5 million and shares an agent with LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Draymond Green. However, the two Los Angeles teams do not have flexibility or assets that are excessively attractive to the 76ers’ interests.
